Hello, everything is mixed and it is normal. I advise you already read this book will help you on all aspects of business creation. Very accessible to the novice: "Strategy for Building Business" by Robert Papin.
I coach students on projects of business creation, I explain the process as follows:
1 - Organize the project team
define who does what with what implications, what are the motivations of each What are your shared values and what made you together, what are your skills, etc.
2 - Understanding the market
Identify all potential customers, all possible partners, all suppliers, but also professional associations and make an appointment with them (via the standard, explaining that you are a student with a project to establish business in the following area: XXXX. AND ask to have someone who can answer your questions. It works once in ten general) A person you meet will certainly give you other contacts. After a dozen encounters you almost expert in the field ...
3 - Establish the business model
From everything you know, you must determine the functioning of the company, its cycle of added value: what you sell? Who? How? Which suppliers? With which partners? What speech? Etc..
4 - Business organization
Who works in the company? At what position? With what means? What legal structure (the choice is usually quickly)? What is outsourced? Etc..
5 - Assessment
Establish financial results, balance sheets, cash flow statement cash and future planning. All three years with three cases of turnover: low, medium and high. The financial assessment will allow you to adapt the organization to make it profitable.
It's all you're good to write a business plan. It will be almost alone if you've become accustomed from the beginning, work in writing. Otherwise, if you are totally inexperienced, consider going to the ICC near you.
